Grayling Students Tour Munson Hospital
On May 19, 2016, 17 Grayling high students attended a Michigan Works! Talent Tour hosted at Munson Hospital. Munson staff showcased different areas of the hospital as careers. Each department represented spoke about careers in their area, including Emergency Room, Facilities, Human Resources, IT, Kitchen/Food Service, Radiology Lab, and Registration.
Students asked great questions and it was easy to tell the areas where they showed great interest. One area was Facilities, because a student could be employed with a GED at 18 years of age and learn and grow from there. Hospital staff emphasized the opportunities for advancement within the hospital for each area, as well as mentioning tuition reimbursement for continued learning.
